There are occasional little challenges or daily puzzles that shake up the routine, but for the most part it’s about carving out space on the board and planning several merges ahead. On slower days, I’ve caught myself staring at the grid, plotting a chain reaction that could net me a new high number. It’s one of those games where you hate to lose because you feel like you’re one smart move away from a huge payoff.

By the end of the day, Block Merge feels like a perfect wind-down activity. It exercises your brain just enough to keep things interesting, but it doesn’t demand the kind of hyper-focus that leaves you drained.
