Command a Human Army Against Aliens

DarkBase RTS is a science-fiction real-time strategy game where you lead human forces against an alien threat. The story connects to the DarkBase universe, but this time you control an entire army instead of one character.

The campaign contains seven battles. To win, you need to destroy the enemy’s main biological structures before the aliens destroy your headquarters.

The first battle starts with a mining operation. You have Marines armed with weapons such as shotguns and submachine guns, along with mining vehicles that help build the resource supply needed for your base.

Build a Working Base

Your army has six types of buildings and six troop types. New options become available as the campaign moves forward.

Basic structures need to come first because advanced buildings depend on them. Once the base grows, you can produce more units and gain access to useful upgrades.

Buildings can also take damage. Repair mode lets you fix important structures rather than losing them during an attack.

A rally point helps decide where freshly created troops should gather.

Organize Your Soldiers

DarkBase RTS gives you more control than simply selecting everyone and clicking an enemy.

Several troops can be selected together to create a battle group. You can save groups to number keys and recall them quickly later.

Units can also use line, square, and spearhead formations. These formations give you different ways to move a squad across the battlefield.

You can tell soldiers to hold their ground or switch between aggressive and passive behavior.

Aggressive troops chase nearby enemies. Passive units wait for your orders instead.

Keep an Eye on the Battlefield

The map in the corner shows friendly troops and buildings in green while enemy forces appear in red.

Clicking the map moves your view straight to another part of the battlefield. This becomes useful when your base and army spread across a large area.

Special powers and advanced weapons add more options as the campaign develops.

Each battle also comes with a briefing that explains the story and introduces new strategic tools. The game automatically saves progress after a completed battle.

DarkBase RTS combines base building, resource gathering, troop production, formations, upgrades, and large battles. The seven-mission campaign keeps adding new tools while the alien army becomes a bigger threat.
