Bet on Yourself Before the Race

Bicycle Drag is a bike racing game where every event starts with a gamble. Before entering a race, you choose how much money you want to bet on your own performance.

You can wager as much as $1,000. Winning gives you the money and helps you build toward better equipment. Losing means the bet does not pay off, so each race carries more weight than simply finishing in a low position.

The racing takes place across tracks filled with slopes and uneven sections. Other riders compete alongside you, and your goal is to reach the finish before them.

Control Speed and Balance

The arrow keys control the bicycle.

Riding fast helps you stay with the competition, but the tracks are not completely flat. Keeping the bicycle balanced over changes in the ground becomes important.

A bad landing can send your rider off the bike. The game does not always force you to restart the whole course after a fall. You return to the last checkpoint you passed and continue from there.

That makes checkpoints useful during the more difficult sections.

Use Boost to Catch Your Rivals

Pressing X activates the boost.

Boost provides extra speed for a few seconds. The meter refills automatically over time, so you can use the ability more than once during a race.

A straight part of the course gives you a good opportunity to use it. Activating boost while the bicycle is badly positioned for a jump can create more problems than it solves.

Saving some extra speed for the final part of a close race can also help you pass another rider before the finish.

Upgrade Your Bicycle

Winning bets gives you money that can be spent on better equipment and bicycle improvements.

That makes the races part of a larger cycle. Bet some money, compete, collect the winnings, improve the bike, and enter another race with stronger equipment.

The betting system adds a simple risk to every event. A larger wager offers a better reward, but only when you can actually beat the other riders.

Bicycle Drag combines racing with upgrades without adding complicated controls. Pedal through the course, stay balanced over rough sections, use checkpoints after mistakes, activate boost when it can help most, and keep winning enough races to build a better bike.
