Escape an Office Building Full of Zombies

Working Stiffs begins with a normal office turning into a disaster. A strange cybervirus spreads through the building and transforms workers into zombies. A group of surviving employees now needs to make its way upward through the skyscraper and reach a helicopter waiting on the roof. The escape covers 15 levels.

Instead of controlling one hero, you manage a group of office workers. Keeping several people alive becomes an important part of the game.

Guide the Survivors With the Mouse

Press and hold the mouse button near your survivors to make them move toward the pointer. Keep holding the button and move the mouse to guide the group around rooms and corridors. The arrow keys or W, A, S, and D move the camera across the level.

Pressing Space changes to the map view. Holding Ctrl while clicking lets you select one survivor instead of moving everyone nearby. That becomes useful when one person needs to grab an item without sending the whole group into danger.

Find Weapons Before the Zombies Reach You

The survivors can find weapons and keys while exploring the building. Armed workers automatically fight nearby zombies, which means your main job involves positioning people and deciding where the group should move.

Charging into every room can quickly get someone killed. A better approach is to look around first. A weapon may sit nearby. Another route may give the group more room to deal with an approaching zombie.

Managing several survivors also creates difficult choices. Keeping everyone together provides safety in numbers, but splitting the group can make collecting useful items faster.

Work Your Way Toward the Roof

Each level brings the survivors a little closer to the helicopter evacuation point. The office setting remains part of the game’s identity. Desks, work areas, corridors, and ordinary employees become part of a zombie escape rather than a normal working day.

Working Stiffs mixes strategy, shooting, and survival without requiring complicated combat controls. You guide the workers, search for useful equipment, keep them away from dangerous positions, and let armed survivors deal with zombies.

The pixel graphics keep the action readable, but the game includes zombies, guns, and violent scenes. The main challenge comes from keeping your group alive long enough to reach the roof rather than simply defeating every creature you see.
