Control an Automatic Runner With One Simple Action

Roper is a one-button platform game where your character runs automatically through obstacle-filled levels. You do not control every step. Instead, you decide when the runner should jump and when to grab a rope point for a swing. That simple idea creates a surprisingly tricky platform challenge across 100 levels.

The character keeps running until a solid object or wall stops the movement. Your job is to react to cliffs, platforms, coins, and the special brown circles that allow rope swinging.

Tap to Jump and Hold to Swing

Roper keeps its controls intentionally small. On a computer, W, Spacebar, or the arrow keys can perform the action. Touch controls use a tap.

A normal press makes the character jump. When a brown circle is available overhead, pressing and holding lets the character swing from it. Releasing at the right moment sends the runner toward another platform.

Swinging too early may leave you short of the landing. Holding too long can send you past the place you wanted to reach.

Collect Every Coin

The coins are not simply decoration. Roper requires you to collect all of the coins in a level before the stage counts as complete.

This can make an otherwise easy route much harder. The finish may sit directly ahead while one coin waits on an awkward platform behind you.

Walls can actually help in these situations. Since the character turns after reaching certain solid surfaces, the layout can send you back toward areas you missed.

Master the Timing Across 100 Stages

The early levels teach the basic rhythm of running and jumping. Later layouts demand cleaner timing and better use of the rope mechanic.

Roper does not need a large collection of buttons to create difficulty. Nearly everything depends on knowing exactly when to perform that single action.

Watch the path ahead, jump over cliffs, grab the brown rope points, release at a useful angle, collect every coin, and keep moving through all 100 compact platform puzzles.
